This LSL superbike handlebar kit for the VFR1200F is designed so it can be installed with normal workshop equipment on the made-to-stock bike. If you are not a trained motorcycle mechanic, you may wish to consult a dealer in your area for installation.
Depending on the bike type, different methods are used to implement the conversion to a superbike handlebar. Depending on the bike model, longer brake hoses, new brake fluid container holder or fairing brackets may be required. Based on different producer specifications in most cases the original bar ends can not be used any more. Also, it is sometimes unavoidable due to the design of the fairings that these must be shortened or cut out from below.
Please note that the appropriate handlebars are not provided in the kit and have to be ordered separately (see below).

VFR1200F LSL superbike handlebar conversion kitBy: Paul on 20 June 2017I just finished installing the LSL handlebar kit to my 2015 VFR1200F. The installation was fairly straightforeward provided that you have a fair amount of experience in doing work of this type. The Kit is of very high quality and fits together perfectly. I had to play around a little to get the clutch and brake lines to route properly but it works out with persistence and experimenting for the best component positioning. I needed to cut the rotational stoppers for the brake and clutch master cylinder banjo connectors to allow for adequate rotation of the banjos (not mentioned in the instructions) The kit enables a much more upright riding position to the stock bars and takes the weight of the wrists at lower speeds. The kit also looks excellent, very aprillia tuono-ish, and is in keeping with the quality of the rest of the bike.
