This is a RAM "peel and stick" adhesive base that has a snap link mount attached to it. This is a discrete and clean way to mount almost any compact electronic device to the dash of your vehicle.

Once the snap link ball is inserted into the socket, the screw on the socket can be tightened, resulting in friction between the socket and the ball. This allows you to move the mount and your device easily while still holding the position you leave it in.
