LSL Aluminium Crash Pad Heads

These crash pad heads from LSL are a combination of shiny ­aluminium with a replaceable plastic insert. The machined ­alloy part is very smooth surface and has either an anodised or powder/transparent coating, depending upon the colour (see above).

The rounded shape of these crash pads prevent them from hooking into the tarmac or street surface, and the plastic insert reduces the impact when the bike falls over and slows the bike down when it is sliding.

In the case of a small crash simply replace the plastic insert for repair. The backward located “touch-down” area of the plastic inserts steers the bike whilst it is sliding, preventing the bike from spinning. This means there is less risk of overturning and thereby reduces damage to the bike.
