Puig Z-Racing Screen - KTM 990 RC R

At 20 mm higher than the original screen, the Z-Racing design provides increased coverage to help redirect airflow away from the rider's helmet and upper body for improved comfort at speed.

Race-Inspired Aerodynamics

The screen incorporates Puig's characteristic Z-shaped side channels, designed to collect airflow and redirect it towards the sides of the motorcycle. This helps move air away from the rider and reduce pressure around the shoulders while maintaining the sporty aerodynamic character of the motorcycle.

Puig develops its Z-Racing screens using virtual wind-tunnel analysis to optimise aerodynamic performance. Across the wider Z-Racing range, Puig reports an average aerodynamic improvement of 12.7% in an upright riding position and up to 61% in a racing position compared with the respective original screens. These figures relate to the Z-Racing range generally rather than being stated as model-specific results for this screen.

Premium Construction

Designed and manufactured in Barcelona, the screen is produced from 3 mm high-impact acrylic for a combination of strength, low weight and durability. Its rounded edge of more than 2 mm is designed to meet German TÜV safety requirements without requiring additional edging.

Puig also uses machine-vision quality control during production to help ensure consistent manufacturing quality.
