These cotton reels for the 125 Duke and RC125/390 serve a dual purpose as paddock stand bobbins and rear swingarm protection. They protect the swingarm and core swingarm components from damage in the event of a crash, slide or drop, and also allow the motorcycles rear wheel to be lifted into the air with the use of a paddock stand to perform chain adjustments, chain lubrication and cleaning.

This is an "offset" cotton reel kit, which means it has been specially designed to move the Cotton Reel/Paddock Stand Bobbin location further rearward, thereby avoiding impacting the OEM exhaust during suspension travel.
